Physician Continuing Medical Education

The University of Nebraska Medical Center designates each eMedicine educational activity for a maximum of 1.5 hours of Category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

The American Osteopathic Association has approved each eMedicine educational activity 1.5 hours of Category 2-A credit.

The University of Nebraska Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

Nursing Continuing Education

The University of Nebraska Medical Center is accredited as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. (Iowa Provider #78; California Provider #13699)

Optometric OCEU

The University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry designates each eMedicine educational activity for a maximum of 1.5 hours of Optometric Continuing Education Units (OCEU). Each optometrist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

The University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Optometric Education to sponsor continuing education for optometrists.
